A case of fraud has surfaced in the Constable GD Recruitment Exam 2023 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Five candidates from Morena, Sheopur, and Shivpuri were found to have forged documents and hired ‘solvers’ to take the exam on their behalf. This discrepancy was discovered when their Aadhaar history was checked during the appointment process.
The Madhya Pradesh Staff Selection Board provided the entire record, revealing mismatched photos and handwriting in the exam applications. Following a complaint from the investigation committee, the Kampu police station registered a fraud case against the five candidates, reported News18 Hindi.
The Constable GD Recruitment Exam 2023 was conducted in Madhya Pradesh, with the written examination taking place from August 16 to September 15, 2023. The selected candidates were then announced, including Deepak Singh Rawat from Sheopur, Umesh Rawat from Sabalgarh Morena, Hakke Rawat from Narwar Shivpuri, Imran from Jaura Morena, and Vivek from Porsa Morena.
Before their appointments, a check of their Aadhaar history revealed that their biometric data had been updated multiple times before and after the written examination. The investigation team has found that in July 2023, before the written exam, the photo of a fake candidate was updated in Aadhaar.
The exam took place in August-September 2023, and shortly after, the candidates updated their biometric data again. When the investigation committee requested documents from the Madhya Pradesh Employees Board, it was found that the photos and handwriting on the exam applications did not match the current records.
It became evident that the candidates had cheated in the recruitment exam by updating the solver’s photo in their Aadhaar biometric data and having someone else take the exam for them. Once the fraud was confirmed, Deputy Inspector Raghunandan Sharma of the 14th Battalion Visbal filed a complaint at Kampu police station. Consequently, a case has been registered against all five candidates – three from Morena, one from Shivpuri, and one from Sheopur – and the search for the accused has begun. At least a dozen candidates including both real and fake candidates have been arrested.
