- Candidates who pass the CTET exam are eligible to apply for schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.) and schools under the administrative control of UTs of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi
- Candidates who possess CTET qualifying certificates can apply for unaided private schools and schools owned and managed by the State Government/local bodies and aided schools.
Number of Attempts in the CTET Exam
As per the latest update, there are no restrictions on the maximum attempts of the CTET exam. Candidates can appear in the CTET exam unlimited times to acquire a CTET certificate. Candidates declared successful in the CTET exam may also appear again to improve their score. However, qualifying in the CTET does not guarantee recruitment or employment, as it is just one of the eligibility criteria for a teaching appointment.
Validity Period of CTET Qualifying Certificate
The validity period of the CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be for life for all categories. Candidates who obtain 60% or more in the TET exam will be considered as TET pass. However, the School management (Government, local bodies, government aided and unaided) may consider giving concessions to the candidates belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently abled persons, etc.
