CUET UG 2024 Exam Pattern, Major Changes in Pattern, Hybrid Mode Introduced

CUET UG 2024 Held in Hybrid Mode: As per the report, the CUET UG 2024 exams are to be conducted in the hybrid mode. Also, the number of choices for subjects will be reduced from ten to six.

The CUET UG is being introduced for admission into UG programmes in Central and participating Universities for the academic session 2024-25. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the exam on behalf of UGC. 

CUET UG 2024 Held in Hybrid Mode

As per the media reports confirmed by UGC chairman  M Jagadesh Kumar for the subjects with higher registration, the test will be conducted in offline mode using OMR sheets. This change will allow the candidates of the ruler area to take the exam closer to their home.

According to UGC chairman M Jagadesh Kumar, the exams for higher registration subjects will be conducted on one day in one shift across the country. Several schools, colleges, and educational institutions will also be used as exam halls which will benefit students as they will not have to travel far to appear for exams.

CUET UG 2024 Choices For Subjects Reduced

The number of subjects a candidate can choose will be reduced to six, earlier it was ten. As mostly students select only four to five subjects and very few students choose more than six subjects. Now the UGC is planning to allow students to take six subjects, which would include three main subjects, two languages and the general paper.

CUET UG 2024 Exam Date

The CUET UG 2024 exam can tentatively be held in the middle of May 2024. For which the NTA will likely start the registration process on February 19, 2024.
