Two JEE aspirants — one hailing from Madhya Pradesh, another a Haryana resident — were found hanging in their respective accommodations in Kota.

Two Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) aspirants allegedly died by suicide within 24 hours in Rajasthan’s Kota, the police said.
The deceased students were identified as Abhishek, 20, hailing from Madhya Pradesh’s Guna, and Neeraj, 19, who was a resident of Haryana.
While Abhishek was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his PG room, Neeraj allegedly hanged himself from a noose in his hostel room late Tuesday evening.
Abhishek had been preparing for the JEE at a coaching institute in student hub Kota since May last year and resided in a PG in the Dakaniya area under the Vigyan Nagar Police Station.
Vigyan Nagar Police Station SHO Mukesh Meena said that the police received information about Abhishek’s death at around 7.45 pm on Wednesday after which they rushed to the spot.
The family members of the deceased student were informed about the tragedy and his body was shifted to the hospital mortuary for post-mortem upon the arrival of his family.
The SHO said that no suicide note was recovered from the PG room of the student and the reason behind the extreme step by him is yet to be ascertained.
