NEET PG Counselling 2024: The choice-filling and choice-locking process will take place from January 22 to 23.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has revised the schedule of the third round of NEET PG Counselling 2024 yet again. As per the new schedule, the last date to register for round 3 has been extended to January 22, 2025 (up to noon). Earlier, the last date to apply was January 19. Now the choice-filling and choice-locking process will take place from January 22 to 23.
The seat allotment result will be declared on January 25. Selected candidates will have to report to the assigned colleges by February 3. The data verification by institutes will be done between February 4 and 5.
“It is for the information to all candidates that due to delayed counselling in some states and recent declaration of Round-2 result in Rajasthan, many requests are being received by MCC for extension of PG Counselling schedule. Hence, keeping in view the interest of candidates and since Round 3 is the last round of upgradation, the Schedule of PG Counselling 2024 is being extended with due approval of competent authority,” reads the official notice.
NEET PG Counselling 2024 Round 3: Who Can Apply?
To fill the seats of PG courses in medical colleges, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reduced the cutoff by 15 per cent for the general category and 10 per cent for SC, ST, and PWD category candidates.

Step 1: Visit the official website, mcc.nic.in
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the registration tab and choose PG medical
Step 3: Now, select the course and enter the NEET PG 2024 roll number and email ID
Step 4: Fill out the application form and pay the registration fee
Step 5: Submit
Step 6: Download the confirmation page and take a printout.

– Allotment Letter issued by MCC
– Admit Card issued by NBE.
– Result/Rank Letter issued by NBE.
– Mark Sheets of MBBS/BDS 1st, 2nd and 3rd Professional Examinations.
– MBBS/BDS Degree Certificate/Provisional Certificate.
The MCC has announced 15,902 virtual vacancies for Round 3 of NEET PG counselling. Virtual vacancies refer to seats allotted in Round 2 that are temporarily vacant due to candidates choosing to update or vacate them.
A total of 8,313 clear vacancies have been announced, which are seats that remained unallotted in the previous round and 99 new seats have been added for Round 3 counselling, including in medical colleges across Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Odisha, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.
The NEET PG counselling is being conducted for 50 per cent All India Quota seats and 100 per cent deemed, central universities, AFMS, PG DNB seats.
