The Indian diaspora is diverse and dynamic and one of the largest and most widespread across the globe. Indian communities are established in almost every country influencing everything from technology to cuisine and culture, and playing a vital role in international relations.

Although Indians have reached almost every corner of the world, the presence of Indian people in these countries is very limited or completely absent.

Vatican City

Vatican City, located in the middle of Rome, is the smallest independent country in the world. It is the spiritual centre for Catholics and home to iconic symbols like St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museum. Although Indians visit this country as tourists, the number of Indians living here is zero.

San Marino

Apart from Vatican City, San Marino is also one of the smallest countries in the world. Located in the Apennine Mountains, San Marino is one of the oldest republics in the world and is famous for its grand architecture, beautiful scenery and rich cultural heritage. Indians visit San Marino as tourists, but their population is very small.

Bulgaria

Bulgaria is famous for its beautiful sandy beaches and the Black Sea. Despite its beauty and cultural diversity, relatively few people from India live there compared to other European countries.

North Korea

The presence of Indians in North Korea is said to be minimal for several important reasons.

Tuvalu
