The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the exam city intimation slip for the CSIR University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR UGC NET) December 2024 session exam. The exam city slips can be downloaded by visiting the official website at csirnet.nta.ac.in by entering the application number and birth date.
The CSIR UGC NET determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) grants and lectureships. According to the official notification, the December 2024 exam will begin on February 16, 2025, and end on February 28, 2025.
CSIR UGC NET 2024 Exam City Slip: How To Download?
Step 1: Visit csirnet.nta.ac.in, the official website for the CSIR UGC NET.
Step 2: Go to the ‘Joint CSIR UGC NET 2024 exam city slip’ link and click on it.
Step 3: Input your CSIR UGC NET 2024 application number, date of birth, and security pin here.
Step 4: Click Submit.
Step 5: Your exam city slip will be shown on the screen.
Step 6: Download and print a copy for further use.
“This is only an Advance Intimation of the Exam City Allotted as per Revised Schedule where the Examination Centre will be located, to facilitate the candidates. The Admit Card of Examination will be issued separately,” reads the official notice. In case any candidate faces any difficulty in downloading the exam city intimation slip he/she can contact the NTA helpdesk at 011-40759000/011-6922770 or send an e-mail to csirnet@nta.ac.in, the notice added.
CSIR NET 2025: Exam Pattern
The CSIR UGC NET December 2024 examination will be conducted online as a Computer-Based Test (CBT). Candidates can take the test in either English or Hindi. The exam comprises three sections, including both subjective and multiple-choice questions, and carries a total of 200 marks.
Structured in three parts – Part A, Part B, and Part C – the exam assesses candidates over a period of three hours with no scheduled breaks. Part A focuses on General Aptitude, while Part B and Part C delve into the specific subject chosen by the candidate. All sections feature objective-type, multiple-choice questions. Importantly, the exam will implement negative marking, deducting 25% of the allotted marks for every incorrect answer.
