Latur witnessed a chaotic situation during SSC exams on Saturday when 21 Urdu medium students at Vimalabai Deshmukh School received the wrong question paper. The students were mistakenly given the First Language English (03) paper instead of English (17), a paper not included in their syllabus.
Upon realising the error, the distressed students were made to wait for three hours at the exam centre while corrective measures were undertaken. SA Koyale, chief of the exam centre, attributed the incident to a new clerkâs inexperience in understanding the colour codes assigned to different question papers.
Koyale confirmed that the SSC board has been informed and a detailed report will be submitted. Meanwhile, principals of several schools, including SA Jagirdar Secondary School, Maulana Azad High School, Siraj-ul-Uloom Girls High School, and Osmania Urdu High School, have urged the Ahmedpur Block Education Officer to take prompt action in response to the incident.
