To pass the Bihar board examination 2025, students will need 33 percent across the subjects in which they appeared in theory papers, while for the practical, the qualifying marks are 40 per cent.
The pass percentage in 2024 increased to 87.21 per cent for all the streams combined. The pass percentages in science, arts, commerce and vocational were 87.80 per cent, 86.15 per cent, 94.88 per cent and 85.38 per cent, respectively.
In 2024, girls who achieved top ranks were awarded Rs 1 lakh, along with a Kindle and a laptop, whereas second and third position holders were given Rs 75,000, a Kindle, a laptop, and Rs 50,000, a laptop, and a Kindle respectively. The fourth and fifth rank achievers were awarded Rs 15,000 along with a laptop. Students securing the second position in all streams were rewarded Rs 75,000, a Kindle, and a laptop, while third-place holders received Rs 50,000, a Kindle, and a laptop. Furthermore, the fourth, fifth, and sixth position holders across all streams received Rs 15,000 and a laptop.
