BENGALURU: The 2025 edition of the Synthack Hackathon, hosted by Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology and Management (DSATM), witnessed an inspiring confluence of innovation, mentorship, and global collaboration. The 24-hour hackathon brought together budding developers, creative problem-solvers, and aspiring AI practitioners from across the country — and drew global technology professionals as mentors and judges, underscoring India’s growing stature in the global AI landscape.One of the standout figures at the event was Srimaan Yarram, a Silicon Valley-based technology leader with nearly two decades of experience in building enterprise-grade compliance and FinTech platforms for Fortune 500 companies. Known for his deep expertise in compliance automation, platform scalability, and AI integration, Srimaan served as a mentor and judge at Synthack 2025, offering invaluable guidance and insight to participants.
Having contributed to the development of systems that process millions of financial transactions per second while meeting stringent regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, SOC2, and AML, Srimaan brought both strategic and technical acumen to the table. As a key voice in AI policy and governance, and an active IEEE member engaged in shaping responsible AI frameworks globally, his presence signaled a strong endorsement of the hackathon’s mission to build not just code, but impact.

Srimaan’s involvement continues his global mentorship journey, having served as a judge at prestigious events including UC Hack Merced (California) and the Rice Datathon (Texas). At Synthack, his interactions with participants elevated the energy and vision of the projects being built—from socially conscious AI tools to scalable FinTech solutions.
The hackathon also witnessed active participation from academic leaders including Dr. Priya Nandihal, Adviser, IEEE CS Branch Chapter; Dr. C. Nandini, Vice Principal and HoD, CSE; and Dr. M. Ravishankar, Principal, DSATM, all of whom reinforced the institution’s commitment to fostering innovation, critical thinking, and industry collaboration.
Over 24 hours, participants showcased their ability to build, innovate, and disrupt, with winning teams demonstrating solutions that blended technical brilliance with societal relevance. As India cements its position as a global hub for digital talent, platforms like Synthack 2025, supported by global tech leaders, are laying the foundation for the future.
