National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the registration process for the UGC NET or University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test for the June 2025 session. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their application forms on the official websites at ugcnetjun2025.ntaonline.in, or ugcnet.nta.ac.in till May 7, up to 11:59 PM. Candidates are advised to thoroughly check the eligibility criteria on the information brochure before applying for the exam.
The exam will be held in Computer-based test mode for 85 subjects. It will tentatively take place from June 21 to 30. The application correction window will remain open on May 9 and 10. The application fee for general or unreserved category candidates is Rs 1150. Those belonging to General-EWS, OBC-NCL will have to Rs 600 while SC, ST, and PwD category candidates have to pay Rs 325.

Step 1. Visit the official website at ugcnetjun2025.ntaonline.in.
Step 2. On the homepage, locate and click on the UGC NET June 2025 application form link.
Step 3. Register by providing the necessary details.
Step 4. Complete the application form and make the required fee payment.
Step 5. Down the application form and confirmation slip. Take a print out for future reference.
UGC NET June 2025: Exam Pattern
The UGC NET June 2025 test paper will consist of two sections, both the section will consist of objective type, multiple-choice questions. The exam will be held for a duration of three hours and there will be no break between the papers. The first paper will consist of 100 marks and a total of 50 questions. The questions in Paper – I intends to assess the teaching/ research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, reading comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. Paper II will comprise of 100 questions and 200 marks. This is based on the subject selected by the candidate and will assess domain knowledge. All the questions are compulsory in both papers.
This exam is held every year in June and December for candidates aspiring to be eligible for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges.
