CSIR UGC NET December 2024 final answer key: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the final answer key for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET December, 2024 examination on its official website — https://csirnet.nta.ac.in/. This announcement follows the display of provisional answer keys, recorded responses, and question papers for review by candidates from March 11 to March 14, 2025.
The examination was conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode across the country in three shifts on February 28, March 1, and March 2, 2025. As many as 2,38,451 candidates appeared for the test held at 326 examination centres spread across 164 cities nationwide. The CSIR-UGC NET determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship/Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges in the Science stream.
Challenge process and revision by subject experts
Candidates were given the opportunity to raise objections to the provisional answer key by paying a non-refundable processing fee of INR 200 per question challenged. Challenges could be submitted online only, with no offline mode entertained. The window for submitting challenges was open from March 11 to March 14, 2025, up to 11:50 PM, and payments could be made through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
Once the challenge period concluded, a panel of subject experts reviewed all objections. If any challenge was found to be valid, the answer key was accordingly revised. The revised answer key has now been declared final and has been used in the preparation of the results. It must be noted that no individual communication regarding acceptance or rejection of challenges was sent to candidates.

Additional information for candidates
Dropped questions were clearly marked and were not open to challenge. Candidates could view the question IDs and their marked answers, along with the final correct option(s) as determined by the expert panel. Though the objection window has closed, candidates can still access their responses and the finalised key on the portal.
