Students who appeared for JEE Main 2025 session two Paper 1 (BE, BTech) can access their final answer key by visiting the official website of NTA — jeemain.nta.ac.in, examinationservices.nic.in. 

JEE Main Result 2025: Which are the two questions dropped in final answer key?

According to the final answer key for JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Paper 1, two questions have been officially dropped. The first is Question ID: 347577562, which appeared in the April 3 first shift (domestic set).

The second dropped question is Question ID: 347577939, found in the April 2 first shift (international set), from the Physics section. As per NTA norms, full marks will be awarded to all candidates for these dropped questions, regardless of whether they attempted them or not.

Earlier, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially responded to claims regarding discrepancies in the JEE Main 2025 response sheets and the provisional answer keys of session 2 in a series of posts on the social media platform X.

Earlier, the National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), faced criticism from candidates, parents, and subject experts over several discrepancies in the JEE Main 2025 Answer Key for April session. These included allegedly incorrect answer keys, wrongly recorded responses, and, in some instances, blank response sheets.

In multiple tweets, the NTA said that the agency takes utmost care in keeping the examination process transparent. The tweet reads, “NTA has always followed a transparent examination process, which allows candidates to view their recorded responses as soon as the provisional answer keys are released. The NTA considers every challenge to the provisional Answer Key with utmost seriousness.”

The NTA conducted the JEE Main 2025 session 2 exam on April 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8 for Paper 1 (BE, BTech), while Paper 2 (BArch and BPlan) was conducted on April 9. The admit cards for the same were released before the exams on the official website.

The provisional answer key was released on April 11, and candidates had time till April 13 to raise objections. The JEE Main question paper is divided into two sections – A and B. Each subject consists of two sections. Section A consists of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs), and Section B consists of questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value.

There is negative marking given for each incorrect answer in Sections A and B. Four marks are given for each correct answer, and one mark is deducted for each wrong answer marked. For those questions unanswered and marked for review, no marks are provided.

As per JEE Main 2025 marking scheme, if more than one option is found to be correct then four marks will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options and for questions where all options are found to be correct then four marks will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.

If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped, then full marks will be awarded to all candidates who have appeared,d irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate.

JEE Main 2025 Session 1 Paper 1 (BE and Btech) was conducted on January 22, 23, 24, 28 and 29. The results for session 1 paper 1 were declared on February 11, 2025. Over 12.5 lakh candidates participated in the exam, with a 95.93% attendance rate. Among the many who participated, 14 candidates secured a perfect NTA score of 100.

Candidates who rank within the top 2.5 lakh performers in JEE Main 2025 will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced 2025 exam. JEE Advanced  is a centralised gateway to admission in the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs)
