JEE Main 2025 Session 2: Know the marking scheme

The JEE Main question paper is divided into two sections: A and B. Each subject contains these two sections. Section A consists of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs), while Section B features questions that require numerical answers. There is negative marking for incorrect answers in both Section A and Section B. For each correct answer, four marks are awarded, and one mark is deducted for each incorrect answer. Questions that are unanswered or marked for review will not receive any marks.

According to the marking scheme for JEE Main 2025, if more than one option is correct for a question, candidates will receive four marks if they have selected any of the correct options. For questions where all options are correct, four marks will be awarded to all candidates who attempted the question. In cases where none of the options are correct, a question is deemed incorrect, or a question is dropped, full marks will be given to all candidates who participated, regardless of whether they attempted the question.
