The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur will begin the JEE Advanced 2025 registration tomorrow, April 22. The Joint Entrance Examination Advanced 2025 is scheduled to be held on May 18. According to an official notice, the exam will be conducted in two sessions — paper 1 will be held from 9 AM to noon, while paper 2 will take place from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
It should be noted that a candidate can appear for the JEE (Advanced) twice in two consecutive years. Those candidates who rank in the top 2.5 lakh and pass the JEE Main 2025 will be able to eligible to register for the JEE Advanced at jeeadv.ac.in.
Those willing to apply must have been born on or after October 1, 2000. Candidates from the SC, ST, and PWD categories are granted a five-year age relaxation.
JEE Advanced 2025: How To Apply?
Step 1: Go to the official website at jeeadv.ac.in
Step 2: On the homepage, look for and click on the registration link, when activated.
Step 3: Enter the details in the fields provided and register yourself.
Step 4: After registration, fill out the JEE Advanced 2025 application form and pay the fee.
Step 5: Cross-check all the details and submit the form.
JEE Advanced will be conducted online in a computer-based mode. The exam will be offered in both English and Hindi. There are two papers in the JEE Advanced exam: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Students must appear for both papers. The question paper includes three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
The JEE Advanced exam will be three hours long comprising of a total of 75 questions. Four marks will be awarded for each correct answer, and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
The Joint Seat Allocation (JoSAA) process is expected to begin soon after the results are announced. Candidates can find more information on the official JEE Advanced website. JoSAA conducts counseling for a total of 118 institutions and typically holds up to six rounds of counseling each year for admission to various IITs.
