BSEB Class 10 Special and Compartment Exams 2025: Check detailed schedule, timings

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) will conduct the Class 10 and Class 12 Compartment and Special exams in May 2025. Both Class 10 (Matric) and Class 12 (Inter) exams will begin on May 2. The Class 10 exams will conclude by May 7, while the Class 12 theory exams will continue until May 13. Check schedule below:

On May 2, vernacular languages such as Hindi, Bengali, Urdu and Maithili will be included in the morning exam. On the same day, the afternoon session will include other Indian languages, including Sanskrit, Arabic, Persian, Hindi and Bhojpuri.

The exam will be held daily in two rounds. The morning session runs from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm, while the afternoon session will be from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. 

BSEB Class 10 Special and Compartment Exams 2025: Who is eligible to appear?

The BSEB compartment and special exams are meant for students who failed in one or two subjects under the Bihar Board’s exams. They act as another opportunity for such students to qualify for higher grades without repeating the entire academic session.

In order to accommodate a large number of candidates, the board has arranged 141 exam centres throughout Bihar. Only in the Patna district have seven centres been awarded 2,954 candidates, ensuring that the process is well distributed and manageable.
