While CBSE is expected to release the Class 10 and Class 12 results this month, an official notification regarding the date and time of the results is yet to be announced.
The students were mistakenly given the First Language English (03) paper instead of English (17) (Representative/File)
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has confirmed that a notice which went viral on social media stating that the class 10 results will be declared on May 6 is fake. While the board is expected to release the Class 10 and Class 12 results this month, an official notification regarding the date and time of the results is yet to be announced.
“A letter dated 2nd May 2025 is being circulated on social media. This letter is FAKE. It has not been issued by CBSE. No official announcement has been made regarding the declaration of Class X/XII 2025 results,” CBSE posted on X.

Around 42 lakh students were registered to appear for the 2024-25 board exams of which a total of 24.12 lakh registered for Class 10 and over 17.88 lakh for Class 12. As per data shared by the Board, the Class 10 and Class 12 exams were held in as many as 7,842 exam centres across the country and 26 countries abroad.
