In the past, the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 results have been announced in May. Students unsatisfied with the CBSE 2025 results will be able to raise grievances against the answer key. CBSE has this year revised the procedure to address student grievances related to Class 10 and 12 results this year. As per the latest guidelines, students must first request a photocopy of their evaluated answer book before applying for mark verification or re-evaluation. This marks a shift from the earlier process, where students first applied for mark verification, followed by obtaining the answer sheet and then requesting re-evaluation.

In 2024, the pass rate stood at 93.60 per cent for Class 10 and 87.98% for Class 12. In 2023, the pass percentages were slightly lower at 93.12 per cent and 87.33 per cent, respectively. The 2022 results were higher, with 94.40 per cent for Class 10 and 92.71 per cent for Class 12. Notably, in 2021, the pass percentages hit record highs — 99.04 per cent for Class 10 and 99.37 per cent for Class 12 — largely due to the pandemic-related evaluation methods. In 2020, the pass percentages were 91.46 per cent for Class 10 and 88.78 per cent for Class 12.
