CBSE Class 10th Result 2025 declared: Trivandrum, Vijayawada jointly share top position among districts

CBSE 10th Results 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the result of Class 10 results on May 13. CBSE Class 10 results are available at the official websites – cbseresults.nic.in and digilocker.gov.in. Out of a total of 23,85,079 students who registered for the CBSE Class 10 exams, 23,71,939 students appeared for the exams. Among them, 22,21,636 students successfully passed, resulting in an impressive overall pass percentage of 93.66% for the year.

The students who appeared for this year’s CBSE Class 10 exams will be able to view results and download their scorecards from the official websites using their details such as roll number, date of birth, and school number as mentioned on their admit card.

Students will also be able to check their board exam results at the Umang mobile app, DigiLocker, and via the IVRS system.

The CBSE Class 10 board exams were conducted by the board from February 15 to March 18, 2025, in a pen and paper format. This year, 24.12 lakh CBSE Class 10 students appeared for the exams in 84 subjects.

In the CBSE Class 10 exams 2025, Trivandrum and Vijayawada jointly secured the top position with a pass percentage of 99.79% each. They were followed by Bengaluru at 98.90% and Chennai at 98.71%. Other high-performing regions included Pune (96.54%), Ajmer (95.44%), Delhi West (95.24%), and Delhi East (95.07%). Mid-performing regions were Chandigarh (93.71%), Panchkula (92.77%), Bhopal (92.71%), Bhubaneswar (92.64%), Patna (91.90%), Dehradun (91.60%), and Prayagraj (91.01%). Towards the lower end were Noida, with a pass percentage of 89.41%, and Guwahati, which recorded the lowest among all regions at 84.14%.

In 2024, the CBSE announced the Class 10 results on May 13. The CBSE Class 10th board exams were conducted between February 15 and March 13. In 2023, the results were released on May 12.

In the CBSE Class 10 Board exams 2025, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) schools are top performers registering a pass percentage of 99.49%, closely followed by Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) at 99.45%. Independent (private) schools also performed well, registering a pass percentage of 94.17%. The Central Tibetan Schools (STSS) recorded 91.53%, while government schools achieved 89.26%, and government-aided schools had the lowest among the group at 83.94%.

Last year,  total 2,238,827 students took the 2024 CBSE Class 10th board exams, and the overall pass percentage was 93.60 per cent, which was a rise of 0.48 percentage points from 2023. 

Over 47,000 students secured marks above 95 per cent, while more than 2 lakh students scored above 90 per cent. With a total of 20.9 lakh students passing the last year CBSE Class 10 exams, the girls outperformed boys with a pass rate of 94.75 per cent. 

The board will conduct supplementary exams for students who fail in any subject. Candidates who are not satisfied with their results can also apply for verification of marks or result improvement. Those who wish to apply for verification of marks must pay the applicable online fee per subject.
