CBSE Class 10 result 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially declared the results of the Class 10 examinations for the academic session 2024–2025 on May 13, 2025. The examinations were conducted from February 15 to March 18, 2025, across 26,675 schools and 7,837 centres.This year witnessed a slight rise in the overall pass percentage, with 93.66% of students clearing the exams, compared to 93.60% in 2024. The total number of candidates who appeared in the exam was 2,371,939 out of 2,385,079 registered students, with 2,221,636 successfully passing.Girls continued to outperform boys with a pass percentage of 95.00%, surpassing boys’ 92.63% by 2.37%. Notably, transgender candidates recorded an impressive pass percentage of 95.00%, showing significant progress from 91.30% last year. Among candidates with special needs (CWSN), 96.02% passed, with 411 scoring above 90% and 66 above 95%. Meanwhile, 199,944 students across all categories scored above 90%, while 45,516 achieved above 95%.A total of 141,353 students have been placed in the compartment category, accounting for 5.96%.Also See: CBSE Class 12th Result 2025 | CBSE Class 10th Result 2025Southern regions lead in regional pass percentagesAmong the 17 CBSE regions, Trivandrum and Vijayawada emerged as joint toppers, each registering an exceptional pass percentage of 99.79%. These were followed closely by Bengaluru with 98.90%, and Chennai at 98.71%. Southern and western regions have consistently demonstrated strong academic performance in recent years, a trend that continued in the 2025 results.Delhi, which is split into East and West regions for CBSE purposes, recorded a combined pass percentage of 95.14%. Individually, Delhi West achieved 95.24%, slightly higher than Delhi East’s 95.07%. Delhi sees stable performance with strong turnoutIn the Delhi region, a total of 328,701 students registered for the Class 10 examination, out of which 327,041 appeared and 311,138 passed. Delhi East registered 200,129 candidates and Delhi West 128,572. The pass percentage for Delhi East stood at 95.07%, while Delhi West recorded a slightly higher 95.24%, showing a balanced performance across the region.Foreign schools and institutional successForeign CBSE-affiliated schools also maintained high standards, achieving a pass percentage of 98.57% in 2025. Among institutions, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) led with 99.49%, closely followed by Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) at 99.45%. Independent schools posted a respectable 94.17%, whereas government and government-aided schools lagged with 89.26% and 83.94%, respectively.The CBSE Class 10 results of 2025 reflect a steady academic performance across the board, with notable improvements in gender parity and inclusivity. The southern regions continue to dominate, while Delhi sustains its robust educational outcomes. With a marginal increase in the overall pass percentage, CBSE continues its trend of academic consistency and growth.
