The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the Class 10 and 12 results 2025 on May 13. The overall pass percentage has seen a minor increase. A total of 17,04,367 students had registered for the CBSE 2025 Class 12 examinations. Out of these, 16,92,794 students appeared, and 14,96,307 students passed the exam, bringing the pass rate to 88.39%.
For the CBSE Class 10 exams, out of a total of 23,85,079 students who registered, 23,71,939 students appeared for the exams. Among them, 22,21,636 students successfully passed, bringing the overall pass percentage to an impressive figure — 93.66%.
Students can check their results on the official websites — cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and results.cbse.nic.in. Alternatively, the can check their results on DigiLocker.

Over 44 lakh students across the country took the CBSE board examinations, which were held from February 15 to March 18. As many as 24.12 lakh CBSE Class 10 students took exams in 84 subjects, whereas 17.88 lakh Class 12 students took exams across 120 subjects.
CBSE Results 2025: How to check results on DigiLocker?
Step 1: Go to DigiLocker’s official website – digilocker.gov.in.

Step 2: Log in with your existing credentials or sign up for a new account if you don’t already have one.
Step 3: Navigate to the CBSE Results section, usually located under the “Education” or “Results” tab.
Step 4: Enter your CBSE roll number, school number, and other required details as per the instructions provided.
Step 5: After entering the details, you should be able to access your Class 10 or Class 12 results.

CBSE Results 2025: Digilocker security PINs
The Board has now made available the six-digit DigiLocker security PINs, also known as ‘access codes’, that will be required to access digital versions of key academic documents, including the marksheet, migration certificate, and school leaving certificate.
CBSE said that it has distributed student-wise DigiLocker Access Codes to schools through their DigiLocker school accounts. These codes must be shared with students individually to ensure secure and private access to their digital academic records.
CBSE Class 12th Result 2025: What are the details mentioned on online marksheets?
The CBSE Class 12 marksheet will contain details including the student’s name, subject-wise total marks, theory and practical scores, and the qualifying status (pass or fail), among others. Students must note that the digital scorecard available online will be provisional. The original mark sheets can only be collected from their respective schools once they are issued.

CBSE Class 12th Result 2025: How did students perform in the previous session?
In the previous year, 16,21,224 students appeared for the Class 12 exams, out of which 14,26,420 students passed, bringing the overall pass percentage of 87.98% and marking a slight improvement from the 87.33% pass rate recorded in 2023. Girls continued to outperform boys with a pass percentage of 91.52%, compared to 85.12%. More than 24,000 students scored above 95%, while over one lakh students achieved scores above 90%.
On the other hand, the 2024 CBSE Class 10th board exams saw a total of 2,238,827 students, and the overall pass percentage was 93.60 per cent, which was a rise of 0.48 percentage points from 2023. The girls outperformed boys here as well with a pass rate of 94.75 per cent, compared to the latter’s 92.71.
