HBSE Haryana Results: Performance in 2024
The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) on Sunday, May 12, 2024 released the Class 10 results with an overall pass percentage of 95.22 per cent. In rural areas, out of 9,163 appeared, 8,044 qualified, resulting in an 87.79% pass percentage, whereas urban areas had a higher pass rate of 91.23%, with 3,444 passing out of 3,774 candidates. Panchkula performed the best among all the districts with 98.35% followed by Ambala, Jind, Jhajjar, Fatehabad, Mohinder Garh, Rewari, Panipat, Kaithal and Karnal.
In Hindi, out of 286,714 candidates who appeared, 277,913 qualified, with 4,964 candidates were eligible for E.I.O.P. (Eligible for Improvement of Performance) and 3,229 candidates requiring ESS.REP in 2024. The pass percentage for Hindi was 96.93%. English saw similar figures, with 286,714 candidates appearing, 277,591 qualifying, 5,866 eligible for E.I.O.P., and 3,257 needing ESS.REP., resulting in a pass percentage of 96.82%.
Category-wise, candidates belonging to the General category achieved a pass percentage of 91.73%, with 4,871 qualifying out of 5,310, while those in the OBC category had attained an 88.24% pass rate, with 3,726 out of 4,226 passing. The SC category had a pass percentage of 85.54%, with 4,010 out of 4,703 candidates qualifying.

Girl students have again outperformed boys in the Haryana Board of School Education’s Class 12 exams. In the results declared on Tuesday, girls’ pass percentage is 7.55 per cent higher than that of boys. In 2024, girls outperformed boys by 5.62 per cent.
Prof Pawan Kumar, Chairman of the Haryana Board of School Education, said that 1,93,828 candidates appeared for the Senior Secondary (Academic) regular examination. Out of them, 1,66,031 candidates passed and 7,900 failed. The board chairman stated that the pass percentage of Senior Secondary (Academic) regular candidates is 85.66 per cent, while that of private candidates is 63.21 per cent.
