KCET 2025 Result Date: The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is likely to release the KCET Result 2025 after May 21. The delay in result declaration is due to the KEA awaiting students’ score data, including the ‘best of two’ marks from the Karnataka PUC Exam 2, which were declared on May 16, as well as results from the Kerala Board, for candidates falling under the ‘Gadinadu’ category.
Once published, candidates will be able to access their KCET 2025 results on the official KEA websites at kea.kar.nic.in, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in, and karresults.nic.in.
KCET 2025 Result Date: Is the result delayed?
Currently, the Karnataka Examination Authority is in the process of compiling updated academic scores submitted by candidates post the PUC 2 Exam 2 results. The ‘Best of Two’ performance, a key parameter for KCET ranking, is still being submitted by students.
Additionally, over 2,000 Gadinadu students from Kerala are participating in KCET 2025. This includes candidates, who belong to Kannada-speaking border regions of neighboring states such as Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra, are eligible for certain reservations under the Gadinadu Kannadiga quota. KEA is waiting for the Kerala Board results to finalise the rankings of these students.
Until these academic inputs are verified and included, the KEA cannot publish the final merit list or begin the counselling process.
KCET 2025 Kannada language test results
The KEA earlier announced the results for the Kannada Language Test, on April 25, 2025. The KEA released the list of qualified candidates, which can be accessed on the official website.
What’s next after KCET 2025 results?
After the declaration of results, KEA will release the KCET 2025 merit list along with course-wise and category-wise cut-off ranks. These cut-offs will determine the minimum qualifying marks required for admission to specific undergraduate courses in Karnataka colleges. The KCET counselling process is expected to begin in June 2025.
