CBSE Answer Sheets 2025: Class 10 students can apply for obtaining photocopies from May 21 and class 12 candidates can register from May 27.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced post-result activities for board exam 2025 students. As per the previous system followed by the board, after the class 10 and 12 results were declared, the steps followed by CBSE till 2024 were — (i) Verification of Marks; (ii) Obtaining (Scanned) Photocopy of the Evaluated Answer Book; and (iii) Re-evaluation of Answer(s).

The board has revised the system to ensure that the evaluation is error-free, it stated. “There is a possibility that even after taking so many steps and measures, some mistakes remain unattended. In such a scenario, CBSE is giving an opportunity to the students to look at their answer books and inform the mistake to the Board so that the same can be rectified (if need be),” reads the official notice.

The new process is as follows:

— In the first stage, students can request for the scanned answer book of the desired subjects.

— In the second stage, the students can apply for the following: –

(a) Verification of marks

(b) Re-evaluation

(c) Both verification of marks and re-evaluation

“This change is aimed at giving students more transparency and control over their examination results, allowing them to better understand their performance and challenge errors in the evaluation process,” the notice added.

How to Obtain the Photocopy of Evaluated CBSE Answer Sheets?

Candidates who want to apply for re-evaluation will need to obtain the photocopy of their answer sheet first by visiting the official website of the board. After checking their answer sheets, if they wish to apply for the re-evaluation process, they will need to register for the same. A processing fee of Rs 100 per paper will be charged.

Class 10 students can apply for obtaining photocopies from May 21 and class 12 candidates can register from May 27. To get scanned copies, students need to pay Rs 700 per subject. The verification of marks for class 10 will begin on May 28 and for class 12, it will commence on June 3.

“In cases where there is a change in marks (both increase and decrease), such candidates shall have to surrender the Mark Statement cum Certificate which is in their possession. Thereafter, they shall be issued a new Mark Statement cum Certificate,” the board said.
