The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results for the Indian Forest Service Examination 2024. This year, Kanika Anabh topped the exam. The examination took place between November 24 and December 1, with personality tests between April 21 and May 2. A total of 143 candidates have been recommended for appointment under different categories.
The result is available on the Commission’s website upsc.gov.in. However, marks of candidates shall be made available on the Commission’s website within 15 days from the date of declaration of the result.
This year, 40 general candidates are shortlisted, followed by 19 students from Economically Weaker Sections, 50 aspirants from Other Backward Classes, 23 candidates from Scheduled Caste, and 11 students from Scheduled Tribes. The notification also mentioned that two current vacancies for PwBD-1 have been carried forward to the next recruitment year due to the non-availability of candidates.

The results for seven candidates have been withheld. Also, the candidature of 51 recommended candidates stands provisional by the Commission. Such candidates can download the notification and check.
The appointments of the candidates will be made by the Government according to the number of vacancies available and subject to the candidates fulfilling all the prescribed eligibility conditions/provisions contained in the Rules for the Examination and verifications, stated the notification.
