Maharashtra FYJC Admission 2025: The Maharashtra School Education and Sports Department has today begun the online registration process for First Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions. Under the Centralised Admission Process (CAP), students can begin applying through the official portal at mahafyjcadmissions.in. The last date to complete the application process is May 28 by 6 pm.
Students who have successfully cleared Class 10 and are seeking admission to Class 11 in Science, Commerce, or Arts streams are eligible to apply. This year, a total of 9,281 junior colleges across Maharashtra are participating in the CAP process, offering more than 20.43 lakh seats.
Maharashtra SSC results out, 94.10% students pass; 211 score 100%
Unlike previous years, where the online CAP was limited to five regions, namely Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Pune-Pimpri Chinchwad, Nagpur, Nashik, and Amravati, the 2025–26 cycle will see a statewide implementation of the online process. Students from any region will now be able to apply to junior colleges across Maharashtra through a single unified platform.
For instance, a student residing in Mumbai can apply to a college in Pune or any other district, thanks to the expanded reach of this year’s online CAP portal.
