CHSE Odisha +2 Result 2025 Released: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha today has released the Class 12 results 2025 for all streams — arts, science, and commerce. School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond announced that the passing percentage this year is 80.51% for arts students.

This year, as many as 3,93,618 students appeared for the CHSE Class 12 Odisha board examinations. Of them, the number of students in arts, science, commerce and vocational education are 2,47,391, 1,14,980, 25,526 and 5,721 respectively.

Among the three streams, Science recorded the highest pass percentage at 87.50%, followed by Commerce with 83.20%, and Arts at 79.31%. The Science stream’s lead suggests strong preparation and institutional focus, especially considering the stream’s academic rigour. Commerce students also delivered a commendable performance, while the Arts stream, although trailing, maintained a stable success rate reflective of its broader student demographic.

A consistent pattern emerged across all streams—girls outperformed boys in every category. In the Science stream, 88.57% of girls passed compared to 86.49% of boys. Commerce showed a similar trend with 85.77% of girls passing versus 81.71% of boys. The Arts stream followed suit with girls securing an 80.61% pass rate, outperforming boys who managed 78.17%. These statistics highlight the growing academic edge among female students in Odisha’s higher secondary education system.

Odisha Board CHSE +2 Result 2025: Division-wise results, how many scored 90% and above?

The division-wise data reveals interesting contrasts. In the Science stream, a whopping 54,947 students passed in first division, which is significantly higher than the other streams. Commerce saw only 6,930 first division holders, and the Arts stream recorded 30,079 students in the top division.

Conversely, the highest number of third division passes came from the Commerce stream with 9,216 students, indicating a wider range of performance levels within that group. The Arts stream had 46,770 third division pass-outs, reflecting its broader student base and variability in academic achievement.

Science dominated the list of top scorers with 1,906 students securing 90% and above, which far exceeded Commerce’s 204 students in the same category. The Arts stream data for this metric wasn’t specified, but given the distribution across divisions, the number is expected to be comparatively lower. These figures further consolidate Science as the top-performing stream academically in terms of excellence at the highest level.

Odisha Board CHSE +2 Result 2025 District-wise Performance: Which regions led and lagged?

Nayagarh district emerged as the best-performing district in both Science and Commerce, with pass percentages of 97.58% and 93.71% respectively. For the Arts stream, Bargarh took the lead in district-wise performance. On the other hand, Bolangir recorded the lowest pass percentage in Commerce (69.19%), Boudh in Science (71.85%), and Nawarangpur in Arts, showcasing regional disparities in educational outcomes that may need administrative focus and resource balancing.

CHSE Odisha + 2  exams started on February 18 and continued till March 27, 2025. The Odisha +2 examination for regular and ex-regular candidates of the science stream started on February 18, the exams for the regular and ex-regular candidates of the arts and commerce stream started on the following day. The examination for vocational studies started on February 20.

The internal assessment of Odisha exams was held between December 23 and 30, 2024. The practical examinations for regular and ex-regular candidates was conducted from January 2 to 12, 2025.
