The much-awaited dates for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2024 have finally been announced. Candidates who had registered earlier can now begin preparing in full swing. The Haryana Board of School Education (BSEH) has confirmed that the exam will now be conducted on July 26 and 27, 2025. HTET 2024 will be held over two days, covering all three levels:
Level 1 – Primary Teacher (PRT)
Level 2 – Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)
Level 3 – Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)
Each level will be held in a separate session over the course of two days.
Why Was The Exam Delayed?
The HTET exam was first planned for December 7 and 8, 2024, but it got postponed several times. Later, it was rescheduled for February 8 and 9, 2025, but that also didn’t happen. The main reason for the delay was that important posts like the Chairman and Secretary in the board were vacant. Now that these positions have been filled, the board is fully prepared to conduct the exam.
Dr. Pawan Kumar Sharma, the Chairman of BSEH, has confirmed that preparations are now in full swing, and the exam will be conducted as per the newly declared schedule.
Exam Centres In Home Districts
In a candidate-friendly move, exam centres will be allocated within the candidate’s own district to avoid unnecessary travel. This decision, which was also in place in previous years, aims to ensure convenience and accessibility.
Moreover, strict anti-cheating measures will be enforced. All exam centres will be equipped with CCTV surveillance and mobile jammers, ensuring a fair and transparent testing environment.
The HTET 2024 will be conducted in offline (pen-and-paper) mode. The test will feature Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs):
Each correct answer carries 1 mark
No negative marking for incorrect answers
No Fresh Applications Allowed

Candidates should note that no fresh registrations will be accepted. Only those who applied previously will be allowed to appear. The existing eligibility criteria, including age limits and qualifications, will remain unchanged.
Admit cards will be issued soon on the official website. Candidates are advised to regularly check the BSEH portal for updates related to admit cards, exam timing, and other important announcements.
