The JEE Advanced 2025 results were declared on Monday, and two students from Maharashtra secured spots in the top 10 All India Ranks. Parth Vartak from Vile Parle, Mumbai, achieved an impressive AIR 4, while Sahil Deo from Nashik secured AIR 7. Both students are now aiming to join the highly sought-after Computer Science Engineering (CSE) programme at IIT Bombay.
The Mumbai topper Parth clinched All India Rank 4 with an outstanding score of 327 out of 360.
Math Lover Who Found Joy In Puzzles
Parth’s love for math began early, often solving puzzles with his father, an engineer. “Solving math puzzles with my father was more than a hobby; it helped me relax, even during the most intense phases of JEE preparation,” he said.
He hoped for a good score, but a top-five national rank was still a surprise. “I knew I had done well, but this rank exceeded all expectations,” he shared. His perfect 120/120 in math shows just how strong his grip on the subject is.
“Math has always been close to my heart. I plan to study Computer Science at IIT-Bombay, but I might return to math later through research,” he added.

Balanced Routine Helped Handle Pressure
While many JEE aspirants put their hobbies on hold, Parth Vartak continued to make time for the things he loved. A trained tabla player, he found music to be a great way to manage stress. “Playing the tabla helped me relieve stress. It was my way of staying balanced,” he said. He also enjoyed reading fiction and playing table tennis, which gave him short but refreshing breaks during his intense preparation.
Parth’s success wasn’t limited to JEE. He also scored 98% in his Class 12 board exams, showing his steady academic performance. With a father who is an engineer and a mother who practices Ayurveda, Parth grew up in an environment that encouraged curiosity and learning.
Now preparing to join IIT Bombay, Parth’s journey shows that staying consistent, enjoying what you do, and keeping a balance between studies and hobbies can lead to great results.
