AHMEDABAD: On September 11 last year, Krish Sheth, a Class 12 general stream student and resident of Gulbai Tekra met with an accident. A motorcycle rammed into him as he was coming out of his housing society.
Krish suffered a brain haemorrhage and was in hospital for almost a month. It took him two more months to recover from his injuries, and he has not yet recovered completely. Krish still can’t hold a pen. His strong determination kept him from giving up. He will now take his board exams with the help of a writer.
Krish’s mother, Nipa Sheth, said that after a month of treatment, Krish was discharged from the hospital on October 10, 2022. “At the time of discharge, he had lost control over half of his body, and could not move. He has had physiotherapy sessions for five months and is getting better. As he can’t hold a pen, he will need a writer,” Sheth said.
She said he had to undergo major brain surgery. Two months ago, Krish insisted on taking the exams. “We then applied for a writing assistant. He is well prepared for the exams,” she said. Krish is a student of Nirman School and will take the exams at Navkar School in Gulbai Tekra today.
