UPSC 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the time table for the Combined Geo-Scientist Mains exam 2023. As per the schedule, the exams will be held on June 24 and 25, 2023, in two shifts. Candidates can check the time table on the official website of UPSC – upsc.nic.in. The first shift will be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon, while the second shift will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm.

The UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Mains exam is conducted to select eligible candidates for the posts of geologist, geophysicist, geophysicist and chemist or chemical, and hydrogeologist. The preliminary exam for the same was conducted on February 19, 2023.

According to the time table released by the UPSC, the first paper of the Mains exam will be conducted on June 24 from 9 am to 12 noon. This paper will cover Geology paper-1, geophysics paper-1, and chemistry paper-1. The second paper of the Mains exam will be conducted on the same day from 2 pm to 5 pm, covering Geology paper-2, geophysics paper-2, and chemistry paper-2.

On June 25, the third paper of the Mains exam will be held from 9 am to 12 noon, covering Geology paper-3, geophysics paper-3, and chemistry paper-3. The fourth paper of the Mains exam will be held on the same day from 2 pm to 5 pm, covering Hydrogeology.

Candidates who have applied for the posts of geologist, geophysicist or geophysics, and chemist or chemical will have to appear in all the papers scheduled for June 24 and 25. On the other hand, candidates who have applied for the post of hydrogeologist will only have to appear in Geology paper 1 and 2 on June 24 and the Hydrogeology paper on June 25.

It is essential for candidates to appear in all the papers for which they have applied. If a candidate fails to appear in any of the papers, their candidature will stand rejected, and the part of the written examination appeared by them will not be evaluated or counted for any purpose.
