RBU ties up with COE for tourism, hospitality – Times of India

Chandigarh: COE Tourism and hospitality, an initiative of the of the Himachal Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Nigam (HPKVN), has tied up with Rayat Bahra University for providing them hands-on experience to students on its campus at Waknaghat, Solan with international certifications and guaranteed placements with a minimum package of Rs 3 lakh per annum.

The tie up follows the first batch of the “Centre of Excellence – Tourism and Hospitality” getting cent percent placement at some of the finest hotel brands in the country and abroad at a minimum annual package of Rs 3 lakh after completing their paid internship minimum Rs 5,000 per month in various domains.
The COE runs a series of courses, spread over 12 months which are hugely subsidized for Himachali students. They can enrol for these courses at Rs 22,500 and also avail hostel accommodation which also is highly subsidised.

During this MOU signing ceremony Vivek Verma, Chief Operating Officer, COE, Tripat Juneja, Partner (Corporate & Government Business) at Mindleaders India, Dr Alok Kumar Director of COE and Gulshan Sandhu, Industry Liasioning Expert of COE, were present.
From Rayat Bahra University, Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor, Dr Parvinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor and Dr Madhumita Mukherjee, Director-Principal, University School of Tourism Airlines and Hotel Management, RBU, were present.
