RGUKT Basara student dies by suicide – Times of India

A pre-university course (PUC) first year student from RGUKT Basara died by suicide on Tuesday at the university campus. The student- Jadav Babloo from Narayankhed in Sangareddy had just joined the campus and allegedly took the extreme step due to personal reasons. Incidentally, his older brother is in the same campus pursuing his engineering first year and the duo were in touch till Tuesday afternoon which was when they last spoke.

The RGUKT officials stated that police were called in and investigations have begun into the matter. The officials have further informed the parents of the student.
This is the third death reported this year from the campus. In June in a span of 48 hours two female students died. While the first student, Deepika from PUC first year, died by hanging herself in the washroom, the second student, Likitha also in PUC first year, died by allegedly falling off the fourth floor of the building in the early hours of the morning.

Previous to that in December 2022, a PUC second year student had died by hanging, and before that a first year engineering student died by suicide in August 2022.
