The Assistant Room
Tucked away in the chic neighbourhood of Marylebone you’ll find 108 Brasserie & Bar, the perfect al-fresco dining venue for the summer season and a hidden gem that oozes glamour and sophistication. What more could you want when it comes to sourcing the best restaurants in London for personal AND business dining?!
Unfortunately, on this Tuesday in June, the damp weather did not permit for al-fresco dining but despite the wet walk through the cobbled streets of Marylebone, the charm of 108 Brasserie did not disappoint. Located within The Marylebone Hotel, just off Marylebone High Street, 108 Brasserie is only a short walk from Bond Street Tube Station and the buzz of Oxford Street.
Having already spent the night as a hotel guest at The Marylebone Hotel, it was great to be back to experience the evening ambiance in what is undeniably one of our favourite hot spots in London. Mirroring the hotel and the rest of the venues within the Doyle Collection (108 is the sister to the Bloomsbury Hotel the Kensington Hotel and other that you can view here) the classy and sophisticated restaurant is spacious with enough room between tables for private business conversations or an intimate meal. The balance is perfect, even though you have this space 108 still offers a warm, cosy feel with luxurious red leather, floor to ceiling mirrors and rich mahogany accents. Luxury and urban is how The Doyle Collection like to describe themselves and they certainly hit the brief here.

On to the food…the extensive menu in the classic Brasserie is built around light, fresh and healthy dishes made with peak seasonal produce, and it did not disappoint. As a team obsessed with food and eating out, it was the burrata starter that caught our eye first. Creamy, delicious, and incredibly moreish it was a great way to begin an evening of culinary masterpieces. The miso cod achieved the mouth-watering balance of sweet and savoury and the undeniably tasty cut of steak was cooked to perfection. When sampling menus we are always looking to answer the question of ‘would we send a CEO or group of clients here?’. As you can imagine, the answer was a resounding yes and whether you’re looking for a place to book your teams, your boss on a 1:1 dinner or even for just yourself, 108 comes high on our list.

On to a subject just as important – service. The level of the service was exceptionally high with a knowledgeable and attentive team on hand with helpful menu recommendations and efficient service, our glasses never ran empty, and we left not wanting for a thing. It is clear attention to detail is of paramount importance to the team. Another exceptionally vital element of knowing your Executives are in safe hands.
108 Brasserie & Bar is a venue fit for all occasions and an audience of any age – contemporary dishes with classic décor, 10/10! Our final verdict? GO HERE!
