Jammu, Feb 15: Online Registration into the Indian Army under the Centre’s Agnipath Scheme commenced from February 15- March 15 for aspirants male/female from ten districts of Jammu Division of J&K Union Territory (J&K UT), an army spokesperson said here on Wednesday.
PRO Defence Jammu, Lt Col Devender Anand said, “All interested candidates desirous to join Indian Army as Agniveer may apply online from the official website of Indian Army – www.joinindianarmy.nic.in only.”
“The applications are invited from candidates hailing from Udhampur, Rajouri, Poonch, Reasi, Ramban, Doda, Kishtwar, Jammu, Samba and Kathua Districts.”
Col Anand said, “All unmarried eligible Male / Female candidates born between 01 Oct 2002 to 01 Apr 2006 (both dates inclusive) with requisite education qualification can apply for Agniveer (General Duty), Agniveer Tradesmen (8TH & 10thpass), Agniveer Clerk / Storekeeper Technical, Agniveer Technical (all arms) and Agniveer General Duty (Women Military Police) Categories.”
“Applications are also invited from eligible male candidates for Soldier Technical (Nursing Assistant/Nursing Assistant Veterinary) and Sepoy Pharma Categories.”
“Candidates are hereby informed that the complete procedure for recruitment in Indian Army has now changed from this year,” Col Anand said, adding, “The recruitment procedure will now start with an online written exam in a Multiple Choice Questionnaire format at different Centres across the country. The online exams will commence from April 17, onwards.”
“The physical recruitment rally of all successful candidates will take place as earlier, Army spokesperson said and added that details of the rally location and date will be announced separately.
