Ahmedabad: The end of the recruitment cycle at MICA indicated that the firms from the analytics, banking & consulting sector were the biggest recruiters with 39 offers, followed by the IT sector at 31 and 30 from the FMCG sector. A mix of companies also made 32 offers, mentioned in a release by the strategic marketing and communication school on Friday.
The officials said that the year has seen 100% placement for the 28th batch of flagship PGDM and PGDM-Communications programs with the average package increasing from Rs 14 lakh in 2021 to Rs 20 lakh in 2023. The median CTC (cost to company) increased by 12% at Rs 19 lakh, whereas the top 50% of the students bagged an average CTC of Rs 23.8 lakh per annum, mentioned the release.
Out of 77 companies that participated in the process, 56% were new recruiters, said officials, adding that 31 students had bagged pre-placement offers (PPOs).
Some of the roles offered to the MICA students included analyst loyalty marketing, digital marketing manager, content marketing manager, digital marketing and SEO manager, brand manager, and so on.
