APSC CCE recruitment 2025: The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has officially released the notification for the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2025. Aspiring candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can submit their applications starting from March 28, 2025, through the official website, apsc.nic.in. The application process will close on April 29, 2025, at 5 PM, while the deadline for fee payment is May 1, 2025, at 5 PM.

APSC CCE recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for APSC CCE 2025, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be an Indian citizen
  • Age limit: 21 to 38 years as of January 1, 2024 (age relaxation applicable for reserved categories)
  • Should hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution
  • Must be proficient in Assamese or any other official, associate official, or tribal language of the state
  • Should be a registered candidate in a district employment office and an original inhabitant of Assam

Selection Process

The APSC CCE 2025 will be conducted in two stages: the Preliminary Examination and the Main Examination, which includes a written test and an interview/personality test. The preliminary examination consists of two General Studies papers, each carrying 200 marks. Candidates who qualify in the prelims will be eligible for the main examination. The main exam is conducted in a written format, followed by an interview to assess the candidate’s personality, knowledge, and suitability for administrative roles.

Examination Centres for Prelims

The preliminary exam will be conducted at multiple centers across Assam, including: Amingaon, Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Biswanath Chariali, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Dibrugarh, Diphu, Goalpara, Golaghat, Guwahati, Haflong, Hailakandi, Hamren, Hatsingimari, Hojai, Jorhat, Kajalgaon, Kokrajhar, Majuli, Mangaldoi, Morigaon, Mushalpur, Nagaon, Nalbari, North Lakhimpur, Pathsala, Silchar, Sivasagar, Sonari, Sribhumi, Tamulpur, Tezpur, Tinsukia, and Udalguri.

Main Examination and Interview

The Main Examination will take place exclusively in Guwahati. However, APSC has noted that examination centers and dates may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.

  • Register using valid credentials and complete the application form.
  • Upload required documents such as educational certificates and identification proof.

The application fees vary based on the category of the applicant:

  • General Category (including ex-servicemen): ₹297.20 (inclusive of taxes and processing fees)

  • SC, ST, BPL, PwBD (including ex-servicemen of respective categories), and Women Candidates: ₹197.20
