BENGALURU: The deputy commissioner has declared a holiday for all schools and colleges in the Bengaluru city following the call for bandh by various political parties and pro-Kannada associations over Cauvery issue.
Many schools had already called for bandh by afternoon fearing security issues. Some of them, buoyed by their experience of online classes during the pandemic, decided to shift online at short notice.
Bengaluru City University postponed its undergraduate exams. The second and fourth semester BA and BSc exams scheduled to be held on September 26 will now be held on Tuesday, October 3. Bangalore University has postponed its exams to September 27.
