BHU Clerk Recruitment 2025: Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has officially launched the application process for the recruitment of Junior Clerk posts under Group C. Aspiring candidates can apply online for the 199 vacancies via the university’s official website, bhunt.samarth.edu.in, or through the direct link provided below. The deadline for the online submission of applications and payment of fees is set for April 17, 2025.

Applicants are also required to send the downloaded application form, along with necessary enclosures, to the specified address by April 22, 2025.

BHU Recruitment 2025: Post Details and Eligibility

The recruitment drive aims to fill 199 Junior Clerk positions across various departments at BHU. The pay level for the posts is Level-2, with a pay range of Rs 19,900 – Rs 63,200 in the Pay Matrix.

To be eligible for the role, candidates must be second-class graduates and possess at least six months of computer training from a certified institution. Alternatively, a second-class graduate with a computer diploma recognized by AICTE will also be considered.

Computer Typing Test

Candidates will be required to undergo a Computer Typing Test as part of the selection process. The test will be of a qualifying nature. A typing speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi is mandatory to pass the test.

A non-refundable application fee of Rs 500 is applicable for candidates from the UR, EWS, and OBC categories. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, and women categories are exempt from the application fee. Payments can be made through the online payment gateway, accepting Internet Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, and UPI.

BHU Recruitment 2025: Selection Process

The selection process includes a written test, followed by a Computer Proficiency Test and Skill Test. These assessments will evaluate candidates’ computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. The skill test will assess candidates’ ability to perform common office tasks, such as creating presentations, formatting tables and graphs, and working with various document features.
