Bihar 12th results 2023: Farmer’s daughter tops science, meet other toppers too

Born to a farmer’s family, the state science topper Ayushi Nandan’s dream came true when she checked the intermediate result on Tuesday.

She has secured the first rank in science stream with 94.8% by obtaining 474 marks out of 500. She is a student of R Lal College, Khagaria.

Her father Shravesh Kumar Suman alias Vikas Kumar is engaged in farming and dairy business while her mother Amisha Kumari is a housewife. They live in Matihani village under Mansi block of Khagaria district.

“I was expecting to score high marks but I did not expect to secure the first rank. I did not follow any rigid study time table but I studied eight hours on a daily basis. I took help from a local coaching institute. My teachers always motivated me to work hard and draw out the best of my potential. I am grateful to my parents and teachers for supporting me”, she said.

Science topper Ayushi Nandan aspires to become an IAS officer

“I am interested in administrative services. My aim is to crack civil services exams and serve my state or country”, she added.

Proud father Kumar, who has studied till matriculation, said her daughter is free to study as per her choice.

“My wife and I are just Class 10thpassed. I could not study due to geographical and financial constraints. It is a great achievement for a family like us. I have never discriminated among my children. My daughter is free to pursue higher education as per her choice. Her younger brothers and children in neighbourhood are also motivated to see Ayushi’s success”, he said.

Arts topper Mohadessa wishes to develop her village

Mohaddesa, a student of Uchh Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Purnea has emerged as Arts topper in the state. She has secured 95% by obtaining 475/500 marks.

Her father Mohammad Junaid Alam is a teacher while her mother Razia Begum is a housewife. They live in Bayasi city in Purnea district.

Mohaddesa’s dream is to become an IAS officer for the development of her native place.

“I aspire to pursue my career in civil services. My village is still very backward. Here, girls study till Class 10 or hardly upto Class 12. I wish to become an IAS officer and set an example for other girls as well”, she said.

Commerce topper Somya aspires to become CA

Somya Sharma and Rajnish Kumar Pathak of S.Sinha College of Aurangabad have emerged as joint toppers in Commerce stream. Both of them have secured 95% by obtaining 475 marks out of 500.

Sharma’s father Ravindra Sharma is a farmer. She said she was preparing for Chartered Accountancy examination.
