Bihar Board 12th Inter Result 2025 (Out): Girls dominate merit list, slight dip in pass percentage

This year, a total of 12,80,211 candidates appeared for the Bihar Board Class 12 examinations in 2025. The overall pass percentages for different streams are as follows: 82.75% of students cleared the exam in the Arts stream, while the Commerce stream recorded a pass percentage of 94.77%. In the Science stream, 89.66% of students successfully passed the examination. The overall pass percentage this year stands at 86.56 per cent, slightly lower than last year’s 87.21 per cent but higher than 83.73 per cent recorded in 2023.

BSEB 12th result 2025: Who are this year’s toppers?

In the stream-wise toppers list, Priya Jaiswal has secured the top rank in Science, Raushani Kumari in Commerce, while Ankita Kumari and Shakib Shah have jointly topped in the Arts stream. Check list of stream-wise toppers below.

Notably, this year, all the stream toppers in the Bihar Board Class 12 exams are female candidates. Here is the list of stream-wise toppers for BSEB Inter 2025, along with their marks and percentages.

In the Arts stream, Ankita Kumari and Shakib Shah secured the top position with 473 marks, achieving a percentage of 94.6%. They were followed closely by Anushka Kumari, who scored 471 marks with a percentage of 94.2%.

In the Commerce stream, Raushani Kumari emerged as the topper with 475 marks, attaining a percentage of 95%. Antra Khushi secured the second position with 473 marks (94.6%), while Shrishti Kumari followed with 471 marks (94.2%).

For the Science stream, Priya Jaiswal topped with an impressive 484 marks, securing 96.8%. Akash Kumar claimed the second spot with 480 marks (96%), while Ravi Kumar followed in third place with 478 marks (95.6%).

Candidates will be required to key in their registration number or roll number and password to check the BSEB class 12 scorecard. The BSEB board exam for Class 12 was conducted between February 1 to 15 for over 12 lakh students.

This year 12,92,313 students took the BSEB class 12 exam and at around 1677 exam centres all across Bihar. Also 6,41,847 girls registered for the intermediate exam in comparison to the 6,50,466 boys who got registered for the intermediate exam.

BSEB Class 12 Results: Last year’s performance

Last year, the BSEB result was declared on 23 March, 2024. The BSEB exams last year were held between February 1 to 12 .The overall pass percentage last year in all the streams combined was 87.21 per cent and 5.24 percent of students achieved first division. The overall pass percentage in science was 87.80 per cent in 2024, while in commerce and arts, it was 94.88 per cent and 86.15 per cent respectively.

The toppers of the BSEB Class 12 examinations were, in the Science stream, Mrityunjay Kumar secured the top position with an impressive 96.2 percent. Tushar Kumar emerged as the Arts topper with 96.4 percent, while Priya Kumari topped the Commerce stream with 95.6 percent, last year.
