Bihar Board 12th Result 2025: The state government honours the Bihar Board Inter toppers every year. The top candidates are awarded the 2 lakh rupees along with a certificate and medal

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) will announce the Class 12 or intermediate exam results 2025 today, March 25. Around 13 lakh students who took the exam are eagerly waiting for the results which are slated to be declared at 1:15 PM. Once released, students who took the exam will be able to check their results on the official websites at interresult2025.com, interbiharboard.com and biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in.

Every year, BSEB releases the list of the top 10 candidates in each stream. Before that, the board conducts topper interviews for the final verification. Each shortlisted topper faces a panel of 13–14 examiners and answers 30–40 subject-related questions and basic English queries. Their handwriting is also checked for any mismatches. If any issues are found, their ranking is changed accordingly.

Bihar Board 12th Result 2025: Double The Reward

Thereafter, the state government honours the Bihar Board Inter toppers. The top candidates are awarded the following:

First topper: Rs 2 lakh, a laptop, certificate, and medal.

Second topper: Rs 1.5 lakh, earlier Rs 75,000 was given.

Third topper: Rs 1 lakh.

Fourth to 10th position: Rs 30,000.

Earlier, rank 1 holders were given Rs 1 lakh, rank 2 holders were handed Rs 75000, and rank three holders were given Rs 50000. This year, BSEB has doubled the reward.

Bihar Board 12th Result 2025: Past Year Pass Percentages

The pass percentage of Bihar board inter result over the last five years were:

2024: 87.21 per cent

2023: 83.73 per cent

2022: 80.15 per cent

2021: 78.04 per cent

2020: 80.59 per cent

2019: 79.76 per cent

The Bihar Board Class 12 answer key 2025 was released on February 28 for the 50 per cent objective questions, and students could raise objections until March 5. The exams were held from February 1 to 15 in two shifts – 9:30 am to 12:45 pm and 2 pm to 5:15 pm. To pass the class 12th exam, the students must score at least 33 per cent in each subject, except language subjects which have 30 per cent qualifying marks.
