Bihar Board 12th Result 2025 (Declared): What are BSEB topper prizes to inter rank holders

Every year, the BSEB chairman awards meritorious students with cash awards, scholarships or laptops. It is given as a mark of honour for their exceptional performance.

Last year, the Bihar Board BSEB increased the topper prize money for Inter Class 12 students. Let’s have a look at what BSEB Inter Class 12 rankers will receive from the Bihar Board chairman Anand Kishore for their performance in the BSEB board exams.

BSEB Bihar Board Inter Class 12 First Rank

Students securing the first position in BSEB board exams (Class 10 & 12) will receive a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh, an increase from the previous Rs 1 lakh.

BSEB Bihar Board Inter Class 12 Second Rank 

Students achieving the second position will be awarded Rs 1.5 lakh, which is double the earlier amount of Rs 75,000.

BSEB Bihar Board Inter Class 12 Third Rank

Candidates securing third place are now eligible for Rs 1 lakh, an increase from Rs 50,000.

BSEB Bihar Board Inter Class 12 Fourth to Tenth Rank

Intermediate (Class 12) students in the rank bracket will be awarded Rs 30,000, an increase from Rs 15,000. In addition to cash prizes, top-ranking students will also be awarded a laptop, a certificate, and a medal.

This year, a total of 12,92,313 students appeared for the exam at 1,677 centres across Bihar. Among them, 6,41,847 girls and 6,50,466 boys registered for the BSEB Intermediate exam 2025. The BSEB Class 12 scorecard will include the aggregate marks obtained by the candidate along with their division status (first, second, or third division).

The scorecard downloaded from the website will be provisional. The official scorecard, signed by the Board, will be issued later and will be required for admission purposes.

BSEB Bihar Board Inter Class 12: Last year performance

Last year, the BSEB 2024 inter result was declared on March 23 within 21 days of the completion of exams. The Bihar Board Class 12 exams started on February 1 and continued till February 12, and the Bihar Board released the answer keys for the BSEB inter MCQ type questions on March 2. The pass percentage last year was 87.21 per cent for all the streams combined.

Last year in 2024, the pass percentages in science, arts, commerce and vocational were 87.80 per cent, 86.15 per cent, 94.88 per cent and 85.38 per cent, respectively.
