Bihar Board BSEB 10th Matric Result 2025: The Bihar School examination board (BSEB) has declared the results for Bihar Board Matric (Class 10) exam 2025 on March 29. Candidates who had appeared in the BSEB Class 10 exam can now check their Bihar Board class 10 results made available on the official websites at matricresult2025.com, and matricbiharboard.com.
In addition to the official websites, the Indianexpress.com is also hosting Bihar Board Matric results 2025. Students who have appeared for the exams will be able to check their results on the education.indianexpress.com portal.
This year, in the Bihar Board Class 10 exams, more girls participated than boys. A total of 805,392 girls appeared for the exams, while 752,685 boys took part. Overall, the total passing percentage for BSEB Matric (Class 10) result 2025 is 81.11%.

Bihar Board Matric result 2025: Boys vs girls – who performed better?
The gender-wise pass percentage for the recent examination reveals notable trends. Among male candidates, a total of 752,685 students appeared for the exam, out of which 629,620 passed and 123,065 failed, resulting in a pass percentage of 83.65%.
Meanwhile, 805,392 female candidates took the exam, with 649,674 successfully clearing it and 155,718 failing, bringing their pass percentage to 80.67%. Collectively, across both genders, 1,558,077 students appeared for the exam, out of which 1,279,294 passed while 278,783 failed, leading to an overall pass percentage of 82.11%.
Bihar Board Class 10th result 2025: How many students received first division?
Exam performance by division also highlights interesting statistics. Among male candidates, 253,754 secured a first division, while 229,958 obtained a second division, and 138,144 achieved a third division.

Additionally, 7,764 male candidates passed without securing a division. Female candidates followed a slightly different pattern, with 217,091 earning a first division, 254,054 securing a second division, and 169,648 achieving a third division, while 8,881 passed without a division.
Overall, combining both genders, 470,845 students secured a first division, 484,012 achieved a second division, 307,792 earned a third division, and 16,645 passed without a division.

The Bihar Board Matric exam for 2024 was conducted in two shifts: the morning shift from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM and the evening shift from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. This year, the BSEB board for Class 10 was conducted between February 15 to 25, 2025 for over fifteen lakh students. To ensure a smooth and secure examination process, the board implemented strict measures, including enforcing Section 144 within a 200-meter radius of the exam centers.

BSEB Matric result 2025: Pass percentage over the years
The trend in pass percentages over the years showcases some fluctuations. In 2025, the overall pass percentage stood at 82.11%, slightly lower than 82.91% in 2024. The pass percentage in 2023 was recorded at 81.04%, while 2022 saw a pass rate of 79.88%. The percentage was slightly lower in 2021, standing at 78.17%, whereas 2020 and 2019 recorded 80.59% and 80.73%, respectively. These figures indicate a general upward trend in pass rates over the years, with occasional minor variations.
Student participation in BSEB Matric exams have fluctuated over the past few years
The number of students appearing for the BSEB matric exams has fluctuated over the years. In 2021, 16,54,171 students took the exam, while in 2020, the number stood at 14,94,071. The figure increased to 16,11,099 in 2022 but slightly dropped to 16,10,657 in 2023. However, in 2024, the number of students taking the exam rose again to 16,64,252. Despite slight variations in participation, the overall trend indicates an increasing number of students taking the matric exams.
Who were the top rankers in last year’s Bihar Board class 10?
The top three rank holders in the BSEB Class 10 exam last year were Shivankar Kumar, who secured the first rank with 489 marks, followed by Adarsha Kumar in second place with 488 marks. The third rank was shared by Aditya Kumar, Suman Kumar, Palak Kumari, and Shazia Parveen, all of whom scored 486 marks.
How many students secured first-division in the previous year?
In terms of division-wise results, a total of 4,52,302 students secured a first-division, including 2,52,846 boys and 1,99,456 girls. The second-division category had 5,24,965 students, with 2,52,121 boys and 2,72,844 girls. The third-division category comprised 3,80,732 students, including 1,66,093 boys and 2,14,639 girls.
