Board Exams 2023: Delhi schools hold board admit cards over fee dues, parents’ association writes to CM – Times of India

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Parents’ Association (DPA) in a letter to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena sought legal action against some schools that halted the board exams 2023 admit cards of students for fee arrears.
“Schools are withholding admit cards of children who are slated to appear for the board exam, citing fee arrears. School children are being threatened not to be allowed to appear in the examination, while most of the schools are demanding wrong fees,” the Delhi Parents’ Association wrote in the letter.
The letter written by DPA has also been addressed to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), and the National Human Rights Commission.
The association also asked to provide the board exams 2023 hall ticket to the students “immediately”.
The DPA alleged that several schools in Delhi have ignored the courts’ order on fees, putting the “future of the students at stake”.
“The lives and future of the candidates are at stake. Several schools have ignored court order on fees,” the DPA alleged.
Meanwhile, the CBSE board exam 2023 commenced on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. As many as 38,83,710 lakh students have registered for CBSE Class 10, 12 exams 2023. The exams are being conducted in over 7250 examination centers across the country and 26 countries abroad.
