BPSC 71st CCE 2025 Vacancies Increased, Prelims Exam Date Changed

BPSC has rescheduled the preliminary examination date. It will now take place on September 13, 2025, instead of the previously announced date of August 30.

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has increased the number of vacancies for the 71st Combined Competitive Examination, raising the total from 1250 to 1264. This includes an additional 14 posts for the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).

The commission has also rescheduled the preliminary examination date. It will now take place on September 13, 2025, instead of the previously announced date of August 30. The deadline for online applications for the 71st Combined Competitive Preliminary Examination is June 30. Those who clear the prelims exam will have to appear for the main examination and interview rounds at later stages.

BPSC 71st CCE 2025: Eligibility Criteria

For the 71st BPSC examination, candidates must have completed graduation. Some posts may require additional qualifications, which are detailed in the notification. The minimum age for this recruitment is 20 years, with a maximum of 37 years. The maximum age limit for BC and EBC candidates is 40 years, while it is 42 years for SC and ST candidates.

Step 6: Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature in the specified format.

Step 7: Choose your preferred exam centre and category (if applicable).

Step 8: Carefully review the filled application form before submitting.

Step 9: Pay the application fee and submit the application.

Step 10: Download the confirmation page for future reference.

The application fee is Rs 600 for general category and Rs 150 for SC-ST, women and disabled candidates.
