Amid the ongoing demand to cancel the BPSC 70th CCE exam in Bihar, a close aide of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday said that no evidence of a question paper leak has been found so far.
Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, a senior minister in the state cabinet, made the statement a day after the chief secretary met with protesters to address their concerns.
Speaking to reporters, Chaudhary said, “The government could not have acted with greater clarity. The top official gave a patient hearing to the aggrieved party. But, to my information, no evidence of question paper leak has been furnished so far.”
“So far, we believe there was no paper leak. The public service commission also holds this view. There was some disturbance at one exam center, and a re-examination has been arranged for the affected candidates,” the minister said.
“However, it is clear there was a conspiracy. Rumors about a paper leak were spread, but no one knows where it leaked or who received it. Those responsible for this have played with the future of young students and must be exposed,” he added.
