CBSE 12th Result 2025: Vijayawada tops with 99.60% pass rate, dethroning Trivandrum. CBSE students in foreign schools had a 95.01% pass rate.

CBSE 12th Result 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the Class 12 results for the academic year 2024–25. This year’s results mark a major regional shift with Vijayawada emerging as the best-performing region, dethroning Trivandrum, which had maintained the top position for the past three years.

In terms of region-wise performance, Vijayawada topped the list with an exceptional pass percentage of 99.60%, followed closely by Trivandrum at 99.32%. Chennai secured the third position with 97.39%, while Bengaluru stood at 95.95%, followed by Delhi West with 95.37% and Delhi East at 95.06%. The southern regions continued to dominate the top ranks with strong academic results.

CBSE Class 12th Result 2025: Girls Outshine Boys

The overall national pass percentage stands at 88.39%, showing a marginal but consistent increase of 0.41% from last year’s 87.98%. A total of 17,04,367 students registered for the exams, of which 16,92,794 appeared and 14,96,307 passed. Girls have once again outshone boys, continuing the trend of academic excellence in recent years. Notably, transgender students recorded a 100% pass rate, marking a significant 50% increase from 2024 and underscoring inclusive progress in education.

CBSE Class 12th Result 2025: 95.01% Pass In Foreign Schools

CBSE students in foreign schools continued to perform well in the 2025 Class 12 exams, recording a pass percentage of 95.01%. A total of 21,825 candidates registered, with 21,782 appearing for the exams and 20,694 clearing them. While this reflects a slight dip from last year’s 95.84%, the overall performance highlights the steady academic achievement of students in CBSE-affiliated foreign institutions.
