CBSE Board Exam 2025: Class 10 Social Science Paper Today; Check Marking Scheme, Passing Marks – News18

The CBSE Class 10 Social Science exam is scheduled for today, with over 24 lakh students appearing.

The CBSE Class 10 Social Science exam will be held today, February 25, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. A total of 24,12,072 students will appear for the exam. The entry gates at exam centres will close at 10 am, so students must reach on time. Students must carry their CBSE Class 10 admit card and school ID to the exam centre. The board exams are being conducted at 7,842 centres, all equipped with CCTV cameras to prevent cheating.

The CBSE Class 10 board exams for English, Science, and Sanskrit have already been conducted, with a moderate difficulty level. As per the CBSE date sheet, Class 10 exams will continue until March 18.

CBSE Class 10 Social Science Question Paper 2025 Pattern & Marking Scheme

The CBSE Class 10 Social Science question paper 2025 will have a total of 37 questions and carry 80 marks. The paper is divided into six sections:

Section A: 20 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each carrying 1 mark (Total: 20 marks)

Section B: 4 very short answer-type questions, each carrying 2 marks (Total: 8 marks)

Section C: 5 short answer-type questions, each carrying 3 marks (Total: 15 marks)

Section D: 4 long answer-type questions, each carrying 5 marks (Total: 20 marks)

Section E: 3 case-based questions, each carrying 4 marks (Total: 12 marks)

Section F: 1 map-based question carrying 5 marks

The total weightage of the exam is 80 marks.

For the CBSE Class 10 board exams 2025, students must score at least 33% in aggregate to pass and be promoted to the next class. Additionally, they must secure 33% separately in both theory and practical exams to qualify.
