CBSE Class 12 Chemistry exam begins today. Students must carry their admit card, follow guidelines, and arrive on time as gates close at 10 AM.

The CBSE Class 12 Chemistry exam 2025 will begin today, February 27, at 7,842 exam centres across the country. The exam will take place from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM and students must reach their exam centre on time, as the gates will close at 10:00 AM.
This year, a total of 77,88,165 students are appearing for the CBSE Class 12 exams 2025. Students must carry their CBSE Class 12 admit card 2025 and school ID to be allowed inside the exam centre. To help students, Delhi Metro is giving priority to CBSE board exam candidates in frisking and ticketing.
Before the exam starts, students will get 15 minutes to read the question paper. The theory paper carries 70 marks, while the internal assessment is worth 30 marks.
CBSE Class 12 Chemistry Paper 2025: Question Paper Pattern
The CBSE Class 12 Chemistry paper for 2025 is divided into five sections:
- Section A consists of 16 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each carrying 1 mark, making a total of 16 marks.
- Section B has 5 very short answer questions, with each question worth 2 marks, contributing 10 marks in total.
- Section C includes 7 short answer questions, each carrying 3 marks, adding up to 21 marks.
- Section D features 2 case-based questions, with each question valued at 4 marks, totaling 8 marks.
- Section E contains 3 long answer questions, each worth 5 marks, summing up to 15 marks.
CBSE Class 12 Passing Marks 2025
To pass the CBSE Class 12 exams 2025, students must score at least 33% in aggregate. Additionally, they must secure a minimum of 33% separately in both theory and practical exams to qualify.
CBSE Class 12 Board Exam: Important Guidelines for Exam Day
- Prohibited Items: Students cannot carry printed or handwritten notes, bits of paper, or calculators (except for students with learning disabilities like Dyscalculia, who are allowed to use calculators).
- Electronic Devices: Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands, smartwatches, and cameras are strictly not allowed inside the exam hall.
- Personal Belongings: Items such as wallets, goggles, handbags, and pouches are not permitted.
- Food Restrictions: Students are not allowed to bring any eatable items, whether opened or packed, except for diabetic students, who may carry necessary food.
- Unfair Means: Any item that could be misused for cheating or unfair practices is strictly banned.
